Its name pays tribute to the footprints of the brown bear that inhabits the mountains of Bierzo: four steps symbolising authenticity, respect, balance and passion. Winery
Bodegas Martín Códax, founded in 1985 in Cambados (Galicia), has become one of the main references in Spanish Atlantic wine. Although best known for its Albariño from Rías Baixas, the winery has expanded its expertise to other appellations such as El Bierzo, where the Cuatro Pasos collection is born.
In this region, they work with old Mencía vineyards grown on slate soils and at varying altitudes. Their philosophy is based on sustainable viticulture, respectful of the environment and aimed at faithfully expressing the character of the Bierzo terroir. The combination of tradition, freshness and modernity defines the essence and distinctive style of all their wines.
