Les Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc
Description
Discover Les Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc, the most emblematic creation of winemaker François Lurton, crafted in the southwest of France. Its name – “The White Mists” – refers to the gentle morning fog that covers the vineyards, responsible for the wine’s freshness and vibrant character.
Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it captures the essence of French savoir-faire: a fresh, aromatic wine with marked minerality. Its low-temperature fermentation and subsequent ageing on fine lees provide volume, balance, and a smooth, enveloping texture.
Awarded in international competitions such as Concours Mondial du Sauvignon and Mundus Vini, Les Fumées Blanches stands out for its elegance, consistency, and exceptional value for money, consolidating its position as one of the most appreciated French white wines worldwide.
Winery
François Lurton, heir to one of France’s most prestigious wine families, founded his own winery in the 1980s with a mission to create authentic wines that faithfully reflect their origin. In Gascogne, his reference terroir, the Atlantic breezes, calcareous soils and the slow ripening of Sauvignon Blanc create the ideal environment to produce wines of great aromatic freshness and varietal purity.
Every step of the winemaking process is carried out with care: nocturnal harvesting, gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing on fine lees, all with the aim of preserving the wine’s natural expressiveness and elegance. The result is a true oenological gem — balanced, refined, and unmistakably styled.
